Our Mission:

Benz Hydraulics constantly strives to provide the highest level of components and customer service to our customers. No matter what the request, we will make every effort to fulfill the needs of our customers. Our goal is to set the benchmark for hydraulic sales, service and repair…we will never rest on our laurels.

Who We Are:

In 1984, Jack Dougherty founded Benz Hydraulics. Jack saw that there was tremendous need for hydraulic sales and service and an even larger void for providers to fill those needs. Throughout time, various Dougherty family members have held key positions in the business. In 2000, Jack’s son Timothy became President of the company and began an aggressive push to increase market share and provide a broader span of complimentary products to the customers. In the beginning, Benz was housed in a small building in New Castle , DE , adding a small warehouse to increase inventory as the business grew. As time marched on, so did Benz, in 1993, Benz relocated to a new, larger facility just north of the original location and a couple of years later, turned the original store into a hydraulic repair and service facility. In 2003, Benz added to convenience of a ParkerStore to their offerings in New Castle . The repair business grew at a rapid rate and in 2005. Benz broke ground on a state of the art repair facility next door to the ParkerStore; the shop opened in 2006. Never resting, Benz continued it’s quest for a higher level of customer service and in March 2007, opened a ParkerStore in Dover , DE to serve our customers in middle and lower Delaware .
